We’re looking for a Content Producer to produce clear, accurate content for the Apify blog. You’ll focus on user-facing content - tutorials, informational articles, and conversion-focused content about Apify’s products and solutions. We want everything to be straightforward and helpful for both technical and non-technical users.

We want a writer with clarity of thought who can communicate complex ideas simply but accurately, without fluff. You'll take what could be a bland or highly technical description of how a tool works and make it engaging, all while making sure that it's technically accurate and clear. Engaging doesn’t necessarily mean ‘entertaining’. We’re focused on helping time-poor readers find solutions to their problems as quickly and effectively as possible.

What you’ll be working on?

• You’ll be part of the marketing team, reporting to the Senior Content Producer and working closely with the rest of the Content Team and other Apify teams.
• Create step-by-step guides to Apify Actors and other content about tools and solutions in web data collection and automation. You'll make them approachable for people new to Apify, including developers new to web scraping.
• Create and edit meta titles, meta descriptions, and other copy across the Apify blog to improve engagement and search engine visibility.
• Revise and improve existing content by updating information to keep it accurate and relevant and improve its effectiveness in bringing signups.

They say there are no perfect candidates, but you might be the one if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in writing long-form content, preferably in SaaS or other related industries. You have a portfolio that demonstrates writing skills and clarity of thought. Be ready to show us your work and what you like about it.
• Native English (preferred) or fluent English (C2 level) that translates into clear, concise writing with no typos or clunky phrasing.
• If you use AI for content, be transparent about it and be ready to explain how you used it.
• We like attention to detail, so in your cover letter, tell us your favorite book. If you don’t, we’ll know you haven’t read this job description fully.
• Knowledge of SEO is a big plus.

By the end of the 1st month, we expect you to:

• You’ll receive orientation and training to help you learn Apify culture, values, and how the various teams work together at Apify.
• Learn about our tools, processes, and workflows to understand where you fit in. We use Notion, Slack, Trello, Ghost, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and a wide range of other tools. Experience with any of these will help you fit in quickly.
• Take on small, assigned tasks, with guidance, to get used to our style, tone, and audience.

By the end of the first 3 months, we expect you to:

• Start taking ownership of small projects, such as revising existing articles, updating meta descriptions, and optimizing CTAs, images, and alt text on the blog, but with lots of support from experienced team members.
• Collaborate with the Content Team and Blog Pod to create effective tutorials and other articles.
• Become familiar with our writing and SEO guidelines and be able to apply and evaluate them independently when creating content.
• Complete a technical onboarding demo to become familiar with the Apify platform and Apify Actors.

From month 4 onwards, we expect you to:

• Take full ownership of selected projects and tasks. You’ll handle content creation, revision, and optimization of blog articles.
• Continuously improve and update Actor tutorials.
• Help establish workflows to make it easier for everyone to get copy from first draft to publication.

By following this timeline, you'll gradually become a key member of the Content Team and be ready to take on even more responsibility by the end of your first year!
